Digital Product Designer

Job description

In a nutshell: you surprise us with your stunning designs. You develop strong innovative visuals for our B2B platform with many different products and users from all over the world. Your challenge is to develop a style for our portal and apps matching with our products and different types of users, while living our corporate identity.
Our clients are surprised with your smart animations and internet easter eggs. You collaborate closely with the UX designer, combining your knowledge, stakeholder information, user tests and feedback loops. In this role, you set up and supervise a thorough design process with feedback and experiments as your main engine.

You’ll be working with tools such as Sketch, Invision, Zeplin, Principle and Frontify.

Your responsibilities:

  • Create a visual design for new products/features and improve existing ones
  • Create and maintain a design library in sketch, frontify and zeplin
  • Work closely with the UX designers to go from interaction design to visual design
  • Participate in design sprints, workshops and user tests
  • Participate in scrum teams with developers and product owners
  • Apply functional motion design
  • Deliver designs to our in-house developers using Zeplin

Design is your thing. You have a structured mindset and approach to design. You are excited to let the product you’ve designed come to life by motion design. You develop an approach for varying design questions, differing from iteration to working on details. You present your design choices, discuss them and actively seek feedback. Since you’ve been working in a similar role for – at least – the last 4 years, with lots of experience in design sprints in an agile environment, you are considered an expert in your field. You show natural authority in running the design process from set-up to delivery and can easily adapt in changing contexts and to different stakeholders, users and colleagues. With your excellent communication skills, in both Dutch and English, you manage to enthuse all involved in getting the best result possible. Your toolbox consists of Sketch, Zeplin, Invision and Principle. We have no managers at Effectory and your high level of self-support, sense of responsibility, initiative and collaborative spirit make you a perfect match with us.

Effectory – Europe’s leading feedback specialist – is a thriving company with more than 160 entrepreneurial, young and ambitious professionals who help big and medium sized companies to collect feedback and ideas from their employees. Our mission is to work on making the working world better. Based in the center of Amsterdam, Munich and Cape Town, our multi-disciplinary and self-managing teams collaborate with more than 800 clients in ‘industries’ as varied as Retail, Production, Services and Non-Profit in over 70 countries.

Historically we have a strong foothold at the Dutch market which was our place of birth and we can't be stopped! To meet our growth ambition, we are determined to only hire eager and enthusiastic employees - both starters and experienced workers - who help infuse our business with even more energy.

While working from our wonderful office overlooking the Amsterdam canals (Cultural Heritage), you'll have a front row seat in one of the most progressive thinking and mission driven companies -- but you won't be sitting still. After you are onboarded to fully grasp your role in fulfilling Effectory's mission, you can make use of extensive professional and personal development opportunities, on and off the job. And with hard work should come fun: Friday drinks, legendary office parties, our Annual Big Day, team sport initiatives like the 'Dam tot Dam'-run, our own boat to cruise the canals of Amsterdam and an organic lunch served daily. That, topped with a competitive salary and a fair piece of the profit-pie... need we say more?
