System Administrator Assistant

Job description



As a System Admin Assistant, together with your team, you are responsible for the daily management and maintenance of our ICT environment. Every day 200 employees from our office in Amsterdam and Munich count on you. The availability and flexibility of all applications and systems within the organization are your priority. Here you focus primarily on solving first-line problems relating to soft- or hardware. You'll work together with two System Administrators and a highly Skilled Helpdesk Employee. Effectory has a pretty big and complex Azure environment since we have 20 Software Developers who build applications that are hosted in Azure.

As our System Admin assistant you will be responsible for:

  • Solving software related issues (Office 365, Windows 10)
  • Solving hardware related issues (laptops, printers, peripherals)
  • User management (Active Directory)
  • Workplace management
  • Administering request through our ticketing system Zendesk
  • Asset management
  • Updating and optimizing of helpdesk articles
  • Be the first contact regarding technical problems for colleagues


You are at the beginning of your career path, but do have all-round knowledge when it comes to soft- and hardware (perhaps taught yourself by trial and error). You have an eye for detail. You know how to prioritize requests, you have experience with managing Windows devices, Windows domains and Windows servers (2016). You can work both independently as in a team and have a can-do and service-oriented mindset. You’re flexible and are open to working non-office hours from time to time.

You have the knowledge and/or demonstrable skill in monitoring, managing, troubleshooting, and maintaining:

  • Windows 10
  • Office 365
  • Apple devices
  • Android devices
  • Windows devices
  • Active Directory

Experience with helpdesk is preferred, but not necessary.

Level: MBO ICT (level 3+).
